The Charge of the Light Brigade and the Yalta Conference between Roosevelt, Churchill and Stalin during the World War II both took place a short distance from Sevastopol.
There are historic Greek ruins from the 6th Century BC within the boundaries of our eclectic city.
Our local students are certified to organize fascinating excursions to the underground submarine base in Balaklava (now a museum), Gorbachev's dacha in Foros, the Great Canyon, the Nikitsky Botanical Garden, historic cave cities and monasteries.
